House Rules
Five football games on one chalkboard. Everyone in the world gets the same board, and it’s wiped clean at midnight UK time.
- Five questions, easiest first, each on a different subject.
- Some are multiple choice; for the rest, write your answer — small typos are forgiven.
- A point for every right answer. No going back.
- You see the years of every spell, but only the first club.
- Each wrong guess — or asking for a clue — reveals the next club, then nationality, position, birth year and initials.
- Fewer clues, more points: 10 for a first-clue guess. Six wrong and you’re out.
- Five pairs. The left-hand figure is on the board.
- Call whether the right-hand one is higher or lower.
- Stadium capacities are rounded; no pair is closer than 5%.
- Each square wants a player who played for both its row and its column — or for a club and a country.
- Any senior player on record counts, not just famous ones. Start typing and pick them from the list.
- Loans count. Each player can only be used once.
- Nine guesses for nine squares; a wrong one still uses a guess. Fill the lot for a bonus point.
- You start with 5 pints in the kitty.
- Each round you see only the category. Back yourself with 1–3 pints, then the question appears.
- Right, and the kitty grows by what you put up. Wrong, and it shrinks by the same.
- When the bell rings for the final question, back yourself with as much of the kitty as you dare.
The Regulars
Each game scores up to 10 points a day. Sign in and your points from the last seven days add up on the weekly table. Quiz Night and Higher or Lower score two points per correct answer; Career Path scores 10 for a first-clue guess, down to 1; Club Grid scores a point a square with a bonus for a full house; Last Orders scores your kitty against a perfect run at full confidence.
The small print
Pint & Puzzle is an independent fan game on Footscape. It isn’t affiliated with any club, league, federation or player. Names are used as plain facts; there are no crests, kits or photos. Pints are points — nothing is bought, sold or won.
